Born to Saint-Lucian immigrants, Hasadiah Jn-Baptiste is a writer with roots extending throughout the American South and Midwest. His scripts explore the joys and pitfalls of life in flyover country and are centered around atypical, misunderstood characters that are traditionally only found on the peripheral of narratives.
Hasadiah has worked as a Dramaturg at the Theatre for the New City 2025 Dream Up Festival and for The Civilians 2023-2024 R&D Findings Series. He was a semi-finalist for Pipeline Theatre's 2024 Playlab. Most recently, his short story the Man with the Golden Arm was published in Active Chapter's Edition 1: Perverts. Hasadiah earned a BFA from the Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at New York University.
When he's not writing, you can find him drawing figures and faces, reading Peanuts comics in a park, or lamenting the woes of his favorite sports teams.
